Buy the thin cotton gloves for about 12 pair for $8 at Harbor Freight.

Pull your latex gloves over them.

Any good quality welding glove works for me. They are pliable enough to grab small objects and they can certainly take the heat. Academy Sports and Outdoors sells some in their BBQ section but you can find them cheaper at welding supply stores.

I'm with Tom. Can't beat them and if they get grease on them put them in the washer.

Also check your restaurant supply. They have many types of gloves and should find something there (and it IS a good place to visit)

Forget about the orka gloves you find at the fancy kitchen stores. While there must be a decent application for a glove that you can stick into fryer oil, I really haven't found one. They are pliable enough to grip the smoker racks and steady the meat while carrying it, but they are about as nimble as a lobster claw when preparing the meat. Very slick when greasy, also.

If we handle bulk hot meats, i.e. a large cooker of butts/briskets we find these usefull.

If we are moving hot heavy racks,we use cast iron pot gloves.

I use my insulated gloves I got when I bought my Ronco Rotisserie......They work great.....BTW the rotisserie also works perfect for yard birds!!!

Yep, I prefer the rotisserie made for birds rather than doing birds in the Smokette.
