Ground fault Tripping

I have a SM025 and I went to smoke a couple venison roasts today and the ground fault kept popping. Tried several different circuits w/ same result. The heating element comes on and abt 1 minute later the ground fault goes. Is this due to a faulty heating element?

A little moisture has prolly built up on the element. Run it on a non ground fault receptacle for a cook and see if that doesn't dry it out?
