JoeM, glad you're out of harm's way. You've piqued my interest with your mention of a custom sunbrella cover. Did you have someone design and construct it, or is it your own work? I am looking for a cover for cooking in the rain on my large weber grill on the new deck. Can you post a pic? Thanks!
SUNBRELLA MARINE TOP FABRIC - Sesame Silica Extra heavy duty zipper & velcro, reinforced seams. Made by a local upholstery shop. They used my old cover as a pattern. ~$300
20 inches of rain in one weekend Bone Dry Pellets PRICELESS!
Thanks Joe! It looks pretty cool. I'm going to put some thought into how to do a similar thing for my grilling application. The heat and smoke will have to escape, and I will have to be standing there, all the while staying dry... I've looked at commercial "grill gazebos" but they don't look like they'd provide real cover from rain. Thanks again.
The heat and smoke escape out the chimney. I leave the cover on all of the time. When it's raining, I put a patio umbrella over it to keep me dry. With a remote probe, the only time I'm in the elements is when I load and unload it.
