Hiya Tom!! Thanks so much for the kind words. We did beat some darn good teams and really only have one category to conquer.....

You would think after 56 batches of chicken thighs that I would have that recipe down!! I blew it big time!! Used the Weber kettle but still no luck.

I am willing to bet that all but about 3 teams used thighs soaked in their favorite sauce!! I still like the thigh idea but we will change the recipe a bit. May even try small legs for a change of pace. Heavens forbid, I may even have to resort to injecting!!

The secret to this stuff is it needs to be falling off the bone tender...unlike ribs. I think I know what happened....my fire was not hot enough, so the sauce was not simmering, therefore not tender enough. I still coudn't get it crisped either....hence the hair dryer idea!! LOL
