how long will propane last?

If I remember right, When I had my fifth wheel camper, I think a 40# bottle lasted me about a week and a half using it to heat with. I don't know if that helps any.

Get a spare tank......who knows, depends on BTU's, burner size, time???

Always plan for contingencies.....

in my experience, an tank of propane will last until it is empty. however, sometimes it may quit before its is totally empty. i have three tanks, for my mosquito magnet. just in case.
they are supposed to last for one month. i have had some last 5 weeks, some only lasted ten days! it depends on the vender, and the tank. sometimes, they need purged.

I think my 24X72, at 150,000 btu turned wide open, would go 3-4 hrs. per 40#. At wide open the tank would also freeze up on us, so we take an extra for backup, to let the other thaw.

We fill our own tanks, I'm not sure if commercial filled tanks freeze up.
