Cappy, you need to go to a web hosting site such as photobucket.com, that's the one I use. It's free, all you have to do is register.
You then load your pics to that site. Once you have them loaded you will see under the pic a few different ways to load them elsewhere. You want to use the one that says [IMG]. You will need to bounce back and forth a little when posting them here, but once you get through it a few times it's reall quite easy.
When you go to make a post here you will see in the upper right corner of the posting window a square with a picture in it. Hit that and then paste your link inside of what it inserts in your post. ( [IMG][IMG] )

There are some size limits for uploading your photos.
We really don't like the photo buckets, etc, as MOST of those disappear over time, that's why, although slower, the method above is good or email me. Given 7 years now, all other stuff has moved or changed in some way and we don't want to lose the good photos.

I did as you suggested Okie. I uploaded 5 photos, waited until it said it was successful, clicked on next and it said there was some sort of error. Now I can't find the album. Where do I look for it?
I tried again and got the pictures into an album but now it says the images are too large, it must be 100 kb or less. Can I shrink the images?

You have to use software on your PC to make the sizes smaller.
I hope I dont get in trouble posting a non smoke post, but here is a link to a utility that does the resizing for you. Its free, and Ive been using it for over 18 months no problems. If there is a better place for this Smokin... I wont be offended if it gets moved there.

Well I guess I've been doing it wrong, although it does work. If I were to delete a picture on Photonucket then it would be true, we would lose it here.
For what it's worth, that freeware site is not recognized as secure on my XP at work or on my Vista at home.

You can host them anywhere you want, but given this site has been here 7 years, if you post them elsewhere, 7 years from now they'll be gone.
This forum has the option of uploading smaller photos, that's the preferred method.
