How to transport Smashed potatos???

I know its not q but it is a technique question.
My wife makes a pretty mean smashed potato her sister in law requested that she bring them for christmas dinner, as part of our contribution. 18 people. You people with experiance any ideas would be grate. How far ahead can they be made? How to travel? How to keep hot? Oh yea We need to take beef gravy also.. Sure wish it could have ben the meat.Thanks in advance for your help.

Maybe use one of the Nesco roasters. Get it heated up and wrap the whole roaster in a blanket while you are transporting it. Then plug it back in once you get there to make sure it is heated up.

For the gravy, use a preheated thermos. Maybe a one gallon size thermos container.
