I have a 2006 Smokette. It has been used about once a month or two for the past 6 years. The unit looks and works great. It has been stored outside but has been covered with a CS cover the entire time.

I keep coveting a bigger smoker, especially the Americue or FEC.

Is there a program to trade-in old smokers? If I sell it used, wil Craigslist work? Is the Cookshack known well enough to get the real value out of the smoker on Craiglist?

Any other advice?

You need to call CS customer service and speak with them about any trade-in they are friendly, love to speak with CS family.

Then you will be able to decide if you want to sale it on ebay or craigslist. The smokette is well known and many people look for them.

When I got my FEC, I kept my smokette and have actually used it a few times for a single butt or brisket. It doesn't eat much or take up much space, so I'll let it stick around.
Sounds to me like Mad_Angler and pigskins need to PM eachother and work out a deal

I sold my smokette for what I paid for it 8 years ago after I bought an AmeriQue last year. I never made an attempt to sell it. I didn't even want to sell it. The fella who bought it made me an offer I couldn't refuse. i still find myself wishing I hadn't sold it
