I live in SC and have not completed a summer season with my FEC yet. This winter, pellets in the hopper have done fine dispite the rain, snow, etc and have never had a moisture problem. However, I go thru about 15 pounds a week or so. I Have a cover and use it even when smoking if the weather is bad. My question is, our summers here are very humid. Will the humidity effect the pellets in the hopper (draw moisture, etc)? Maybe some of our good Southern FECers could sound off. thx

I ordered the cover (and the probe) from CS with the FEC. I love it. Best cover yet. I can't believe you can really cook with it on. This is a huge advantage, worth every penny. I think what I'm hearing is, don't worry about the humidity, just don't keep the hopper open when it rains. Got it, thanks. By the way, us novice folks sure appreciate you more experienced folks helping us out. Blessings.
