After much research, observation, and convincing of my teammate (wife) I'm dropping the chunk of $change$ and going out to purchase and pick up my FEC-100 today. In a couple of hours I will be a proud owner. I want to just thank everybody for your help, comments, knowledge, and pictures that you have shared on this forum. I will have to say that this is one of the most informative forums out there about a number of products, company, cooking techniques, tips and tactics.

I want to thank Smokin Oakie, Tom, Fast Freddie, and all the others that I can't think of off the top of my head. I feel confidant of this purchase and even more of what the FEC-100 is capable of doing. I just can't wait for the wife to tell me "yeah you were right" once again with our new purchase. Well I must go for now and go get my new toy. Smiler

Thanks Cal. Got it home safely, got it unpacked and placed in the garage. It was fun unwrapping this grated cooker and brought me back to being a kid at christmas time. I will season it Saturday afternoon when its suppose to get near 60 here in KCMO. As far as what I'm gonna cook in it first? Hmm
We're in Kansas City. We will be doing contest in and around KCMO this year, to include GAB and American Royal. There were to many personal variables in and around the time of Little Rock this year. I think we will definitley do it next year. Sorry I'm losing the chance to meet you and talk with you about BBQ and FEC's.
