I used the basic recipe off the back of a Liptons Onion Soup Mix Box. I substituted bbq sauce in stead of ketchup. Stuffed in smoker and ran to an internal temp of ?????? Whatever beef reccomends. My friends think they are awesome eats. One trick is to lay a layer of hd aluminum foil on the bottom of the meatloaf. It prevents it from falling through the grates of the shelf. It works well.

Good luck and would love some pictures.

I do meatloaf in the Smokette all the time. It is great.

Use your favorite recipe, or your mother's favorite recipe, or your grandmother's favorite recipe.

When you have all the ingredients mixed up, form it into a cylinder that is about 2 to 3 inches in diameter. Then, wrap it in Saran wrap or equivalent, and twist the ends so that you have a tight package. Refrigerate for a few hours. Unwrap the meatloaf, put on a rack and put into the Somkette. Cook until internal temperature is 150 F. Let sit for 15 minutes before serving.

This is great cold in sandwiches. - Duffey
Made my meatloaf today. Actually a pair of small meatloafs. Just made a basic meatloaf. With a few changes. I measured some stuff and just threw some stuff in. Here's aprox what I used.
2 1/4 lbs ground chuck
20 saltine crackers crushed
2 eggs
2 1/2 tablespoons dried green pepper chopped fine in food processor. (could use fresh)
1 pinch homade Jalapeno pepper powder
2 cloves partially smoked garlic (chopped)
Salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste.

Mixed up and made 2 small loafs
Put in disposible large aluminum pie pan with several holes punched in bottom.
Sprinkeled with Cookshack rib rub.
1 1/2 oz oak and 1 1/2 oz hickory wood.
Smokette set at 225 degrees. When internal temp got to 135 degrees (about 2 hours) I opened door and covered loafs with 1/2 catsup and 1/2 Spicey Cookshack BBQ Sauce. Turned Smokette up to 250 and took internal temp on up to 160 degrees (another hour) 3 hours total cook time.

Awesome!!! Best meatloaf I ever had!!

How do you post the pics onto the post without them becoming a link instead?

GLH, you have to have the pics uploaded on your own webspace. Then you post them here using BBcode. There are lots of free image hosts on the net or your ISP may give you free space.

GLH, Suddenlink should be fine if they give you webspace. You may have to contact them and have them tell you how to upload your pics.

Another way to post a pic is to grab a pic off the internet and use it. The only thing you got to is watch out for copyright issues. To do that just put your mouse cursor on a pic and Right click, then Left click on Properties then copy the URL from that properties window. Then go to new message or reply to a message then do as I say in the pic below.

You can practice using the image I posted below or the little flaming pic in my signature line I know they are not copyrighted. Try it you can always delete the posted message then. Hope this makes sense as I'm not good at explaining stuff. If I can help more just let me know...RB
