Man, hadn't see that.

Why does that chap my @#$ when someone does a 99% copy of a great american product. Same problem with the Smokin Tex, a cheap Chinese copy of a US made product.

Let's see they've copied the best pellet smoker going, but it's made in China. Can't imagine what stainless guage they're using.

I wonder if it's really been NSF rated or just copies the CS work too?

Here's the one that gets me, it's $1000 more than the CS and doesn't have an IQ4.

Now WHO would be an idiot to pay more for an inferior product.

I'll be sure to pound the forums with this one.

Thanks Larry

UPDATE: It's old new I guess (I hadn't heard it, so it's news to me)

...Its not a Chinese Knock off as you stated. It is made in Wisconsin.
This model came out 24 months ago.
Here is the Company that makes them http://www.prosmokernroaster.com/ind...e=model-fb-150

Additionally it is 33% larger than the FE 100

Traeger does not manufacture them they are bringing them in from this Company Pro Smoker n Roaster that is located in Wisconsin. Therefore as far as I am concerned it is a 100% USA product.

The controllers used in this unit is also made in the US.

But the IQ controller makes the FEC much better. There is no way to compare the two.

i didnt mean it was the same as the fec I meant the one on ps seasonings website is the same as the one on tragers website is the same as the one on cabelas web site.

I am almost positive that all these are sourced from china and that ps seasonings makes them all and rebrands them.

not that any of this is good or bad, just what I have dug up on my own.
