I took some flank steak, sliced w/the grain and added HiMountain Cure and Seasoning for 24 plus hours, pushed toothpicks through and hung from CS...WOW! I only did 2#'s but worked wonderful...Anybody have any other jerky recipes using flank or round steak that are "must try's"?

Hey Smokin!!

Thanks for asking about your flaming BBQ guy. I figured I should go find one myself so I could use it here! Unfortunately, they didn't have any of someone smokin'!

If you look real close you'll notice he is the Swedish Chef from the Muppets!! He has been out of work, and I needed someone...so, hey!

I grill much more than I smoke...only because we use our grill for everything. Not unusual for the oven to never be used in the summer months. I do rolls and pizzas and casseroles and about everything I do in the oven. It has worked out nice with the recent spike in gas bills.

Oh BTW, I been smokin' stogies since 1973...I won't tell you how I started...you might think bad of me!! LOL I smoke about 2-3 a day and many times in the summer more than that! I don't even want to think about poker nights!! LOL
