I mean no offense to anyone, but using an oven or liquid smoke, or tender quick is not making jerky. Jerky is wood smoked like in this video. This is how I do it of corse there are other ways without using the before mentioned gimmicks---Go ahead and watch the video tell me if I'm wrong!!!

What no recipe. Now I have to figure what to call that dried meat and fish in the fridge.
Keep in mind, there is a hundred different ways to cook an egg. As long as it taste good, who cares how it was cooked?

I liked the girl in the bikini in the background walking across the "set". Mr. Cohn mentions that the meat will continue to cook after taking out of the smoker. I thought the idea of jerky was to dry the meat, not cook it.

Oh well, there's a thousand ways probably to make jerky, and I am certainly no expert. But I do know there are experts on this forum and that's my first place to turn to for advice.
Joe, that looks amazing. Me and our Soldiers over here can attest to some of you ‘all’s jerky firsthand. This forum has some of the best jerky in the world. We ought to all band together, we'd make a million.

Personally, the FEC is the perfect Jerky machine. Dry Heat and invisible clean smoke that blasts nitrates all the way thru the meat. None Better!

I agree with you jerky made in oven is infact not very delicious also. Your video is quite helpful. Thanks for sharing and letting us know the right way.
