The 1st Fast Eddy cooking class will be held November 20, 2004. This class is designed to teach the art of barbecue to anyone interested in either cook-offs or restaurants. The class will be taught by Fast Eddy (Ed Maurin). Fast Eddy has been a competition cook for the past 14 years and has won numerous cook-offs; he has recently opened his first restaurant. Besides competing and winning these contests Eddy has also designed a state of the art pellet fired smoker. Class participants will also have the opportunity to meet and learn from Dr. BBQ (Ray Lampe) renowned barbecue cook, teacher, and competitor.

This class will give you the opportunity to learn from one of the best barbecue cooks how to prepare great barbecue and present it how the judges want to see it.

This class will take place in Ponca City, OK home of Cookshack, Inc. The class is free to owners of a Fast Eddys pit. Cost is $200 for those who do not own a Fast Eddys. That entry fee can be used as a discount on your first Fast Eddys by Cookshack cooker. The class will be limited to the first 25 people who sign up, so get your entry in today. Call 1-800-423-0698 and ask for Erin to sign up. We will have a form on the website sometime tomorrow if you would prefer to use that.

And if you talk really nice to him, maybe we can get Smokin' Okie to show up, too. Hope to see you there!

Wahoo!

Just signed up this morning. And now that I am signed up, I can start asking the questions that I should have asked beforehand...

The class is slated for the 20th... does that start on Saturday morning and go through Sunday morning or would it be done by Saturday night?

Just trying to plan my vacation days/travel days.

Also, what material(s) should I plan on bringing with me?

Thanks,
Matt.
Well I just called and left a message with Erin. Hoping to make this class! What a great chance to learn from two great cooks!

Only problem on my part is I will (or should) be over in Richland, GA for their contest the weekend before this one and I'm working on travel/lodging for the week between these weekends. Doesn't make much sense to drive back up to Michigan and then drive right back down.

Really hope I make it! I'd also love to see Cookshacks plant! How much better could that weekend be!

Bob
The class is full as of a couple of minutes ago. The response has been tremendous, and I hope that we can talk Eddy and Stuart into doing it again in the Spring. If you are interested in attending a Spring class, e-mail e_holzhauser@cookshack.com and let her know. We will contact you when we start planning for the next class.

Thanks to everyone who registered. We are going to have a great time. I am looking forward to meeting each of you.

Donna
