I started out with a barrel unit in the 70`s. moved up to a 24x48 off then got a bigger offset on trailer. In 1995 was in a bbq joint that had something I`d never seen before. Got together with the cook he said it was a COOKSHACK & give me their phone number. I give them a call they sent the imfo. It sounded like a lot of money which I did`t have. I went back to the same joint several times & everything was always good In 96 Imade the plunge & got a smokette. Used it 2 to 3 times a week & had real good luck with it. I got use to the set it & leave it cooking. In 99 Imade the real plunge & the model 150. To this day no regrets. Today we cooked 10 lbs. summer sauge in smokette & 27+ lbs. 150.
All I have to say is save up make the plunge & Use it if you have any problems give them a call. They want happy customers. Thats the only way they can keep going. If I can be of any just ask. This is my 1st post don`t even know if it`ll go thru. Just try different things.
