i own a bbq joint in colorado and i use an FEC500. i can't imagine useing a better, easier, more dependable smoker.....i run it everyday when we were open [we are seasonal][may-oct] i had one prob....i had a belt go out....easy fix.............my 2 cents

Jeff - thanks for the input. I don't think I would stat in Lake City over the winter either. Learned about winter in Gunnison.

i lived there for 6 years year round....you have to get into snowmobiling to keep your sanity.....my daughter bought my old restaurant there in lake city [southern vittles]. they live there year round and it was -20 below the other day.....lol. btw i have my FEC500 on a trailer, i bought the whole package from cookshack..........great investment!

besides, i cant ride my harley up there in the winter................but in texas its year round riding.....
