Was cooking on the FE100 last night and had the nut flew off the screw that holds the latch to door (upper latch) and the latch fell off.
Thus, you may now know it, though you too may have a screw loose!

my wife has been saying that for years to me....
Mine keep coming loose, too. Time for some Loctite. 
I just found the nut today and really looked at the connection. If you tighten the nut down, it restricts the ability of the latch to move. Cookshack put some blue goop on the end which was suppose to allow the nut to stay on the screw, without overtightening the connection and without backing off (loctite??).
I'll pick up a tube of that stuff and give it another shot. I guess you could also file the thread of the screw to prevent the nut from coming off again.
