Well, you're almost right. Normally I don't sit with Q in front of the PC as it get's the keyboard all sticky. I say that, with a plate of smoked Pork Tenderloin that's really good if I say so
I have to monitor all posts, post pictures, work behind the scenes to move posts and keep the forum running. I can spend quite a few hours in a week just doing that. I answer a lot of emails direct from people wanting to know about the forum. That's my job. Donna & Stuart don't actively Moderate each day, they leave that up to me.
My #1 Goal is to keep it fun and friendly and about Q. And of course, I try to make sure any post gets an answer. If someone else doesn't jump in, I try to jump in. Hate to see the "no reply" kind of posts.
Tom is great, always jumping in. Toms' the MAN!
Thanks for the kind words. As was stated, I do this for free, I'm not an employee of Cookshack, although we've built a great friendship over the years. I was like many of you, just bought my CS but my fondness for the product helped lauch the forum.
To me, it's about sharing my Q knowledge. There's no other way, to really learn about Q, unless you ask. You can read all you want, but we all have questions.
That's the purpose of the forum, to talk about Q.
99.5% of the forum has been great and I love doing this. Everytime some says "...this forum has made me a BBQ King/Queen in my neighborhood" it's a great thing.
BUT...
...I'm just the moderator. This forum would be nothing without a TON of forum members always jumping in and helping answer the posts, and the growth in the members answering the questions is another rewarding experience.
Now, back to my Q....
