With the spareribs I smoked yesterday, you could fit 2 of the smaller halves on one rack and only 1 larger half per rack. So, I had to use 3 racks for 2 slabs of ribs. Man, I sure wish I had 18" racks. I didn't want to overlap the larger halves or have them smashed against the sides of the smoker.
Hi,Mike.....You can,but remember those grills are only 4 in. apart and that limits cooking full grown spares somewhat....I have made a sausage shaped piece of foil to prop up one side of the slab to allow a much smaller angle than rib racks afford...This will gain you a little extra space on each grill.It works well on loinbacks. Wink
