New 55 Where to Store Outside/Insid?

Just unpacked my new 55 . Reading through the manual it says do not expose to rain and store inside when not in use. I did buy the cover and was hoping to make a permanent home for the 55 under the eave of the house, somewhat protected but not fully. Do you guys store yours in the garage etc. and pull out for each use? Any ideas on your placements would be great.

I keep my 55 on the front porch, has a awning. I figure as long as you set it on something solid
up off the ground you should be O.K. along with the cover. Good luck

You can read through the owners forum and owners archive and there are a lot of ways to do it.

Guess it depends do you want to put it someplace permanent or temporary. Put it on a table, etc to be more permanent, or just get a good quality cover and leave it on the ground.

I left my smokette outside, with the CS cover on it all year here in Oklahoma. Just keep water from getting inside the electronics and you'll be good to go.
