I received my Fe-100 today, but did not get a manual. They are sending one out today, but I wanted to season it tonight. What is the recommended method? It is a warm 3� F tonight. Thanks.

Put pellets in the hopper and set the thermostat at 180 or higher. Wait 8-10minutes and then turn the power switch off and back on. This resets the ignitor and will set the pellets on fire. Turn thermostat to 300 and leave there for 1 hour. This will season the cooker. Once you have done this you will not have to go through the 8-10 minute re start procedure unless you run it empty of pellets.
I forgot to say that the ignitor only runs the first 4 minutes the unit is turned on. This is why you need to turn it off and back on to reset it. It takes about 8 minutes to charge the auger with fuel. Remember to turn the thermostat to 180 or higher when starting from an empty unit.

I got my FE in early January. ALSO no manual. Must be a paper shortage. I had to call the company to find out how to turn it on, but they were very helpful.
