New here- ? about rear handle on model 50 replacement..

Hi. I have been made a proud owner of a 2yr old model 50 CS. I have only been able to use the unit a couple times. I have noticed the rear handle at the top of the unit is very loose and feels like it will break off soon. My question is has anyone replaced these and if so what did you use?? I was thinking of putting something on a little heavier and using 4 sheetmetal screws. I was concerned though where the wiring is run from the element to the temp dial on the front?

I would imagine the handle is attached to the back side of the rear panel by screws. They are probably striped or just loose.
The back panel is made to come off in case you have to change the thermostat or element. Take a looksy.

I'm going to modify this thing cause stock "anything" is just not right.
