Throw in a 7 to 8 lb. butt,4 oz. of hickory,set it at 225�,it will be ready to check when you get home at 10 hrs.

Take it to about 200� internal and enjoy.

It is very forgiving and hard to not do at least nice and edible.

Had my first cook. Chicken Breast with CS chicken rub. Deluxe! The chicken was extra moist....Tasted as good or better than any of the slow cooked chicken I have had off my BGE.

Kids said they liked it better.

How did you do the chicken - temps & time?

Nothing special - Cookshack Chicken Rub at 225 degrees until the breast was 170.

The skin was a little rubbery, but it was that way on the BGE when I slow cooked too.

The smoke flavor was great. Last night we used Sugar Maple and Apple woods.
