I just picked up my new 008 today. I'm moving up from a Brinkman water smoker. I just have an overpowering urge to Q in the dead of winter. It's seasoning right now in preparation for the SuperBowl party this weekend.

Welcome Bowhunter. Go to the new user section and read read and read some more. Do this after you season your smoker for at least 4 hours. Hey Bowhunter, I to am a new owner of a oo8. Just got it last weekend (Superbowl weekend). I have made two meals so far a they were great. Did some bone in chicken breast and they were eceptional, very juicy!! It cooks great in the cold, its been in the teens and low twenties around my way. Good luck!! If you have any good recipes for venison in the smoker please be so kind and give me some info.
