new smokette models?

I have a two year old model SM08. I noticed that the new smokette models look quite a bit different. Anyone have any first hand knowledge of how the new smokette models differ from the older models? I wonder if they can hit 300 degrees?

They are wide enough now to fit racks of ribs without cutting. And the info on cookshack's site says they are still limited to 250 degrees.

Basically 2 things:

1. Size, most square shaped to hold full racks of ribs
2. Electronic control (similiar to other lines of CS's)

The new models are listed as having 750 watt elements compared to 500 watt(this is from memory) for the SM08. No idea if this increases max temp for this slighly larger model.

Looking forward to testing in a week or 2.

I think the max temp is the same, but I'll try to find out.

I saw them, but don't have my demo unit to test yet.
