I was wondering if anyone has modified the original casters that come on the FEC-100? Maybe taking them off and mounting it to a garden utility cart? or some type of larger wheels or casters?

I ask this question because it seems the FEC-100 is very easy to move on concrete/asphalt but when it comes to grass, the wheels sink into the ground, the unit is top heavy, etc.

Any ideas or pictures of what you have done?

Stu,

There is a caster place in town (over by Stockyards & Cattleman's) and I've found several pneumatic tires that might fit. The problem is it will take some welding or handy work to take off the old and replace them as the size of the current tires and their mount doesn't match the size of the ones I found in a catalog.

I WILL fix it this year. It's tougher and tougher to get them into the trailer.
BS Pitmeister can you please post the finished dimensions? And how about a written description of the process? It looks like exactly what I want to do with my FEC 100. I'm tired of fighting with my cooker at competitions. I'm not handy enough to do the mod but if I have this information I will have a local shop do the mod for me.
Thanks.
