Hello all-just bought the 050 at Cabellas for my wife.
I'm an Egghead. She wanted to be able to Q with out the hassle of charcoal.
Spent the afternoon seasoning the unit, and she is going to do her first load of ribs tomorrow. (I borrowed her user name to post this)
One comment I would like to make is a compliment to Smokinokie.
I trolled the board a little, and saw a post of his actually complimenting the Egg. You don't see that often on some of the boards I frequent.
Seems to me that says a lot about the product he makes, and about the man himself.
Wish her luck on the rib project tomorrow--(I think she is anxious to take over the household title of BBQ master) Eeker

Well, you sure won't see that on the BGE forum, because the moderator would axe it quick. I've been thinking about some sort of ceramic cooker myself, maybe a Primo, to do steaks and breads in. Just haven't rounded up the dough yet, plus might be able to pick up a "blemished" Primo cheaper at the Atlanta factory.

The key here is to keep it fun and friendly, and except the one day a year when the moon phases don't align, we usually do.

Personally, I think all smokers work...just some better than others.
