Hi all, I'm new to this site, thought it would be a good idea to introduce myself. My first name is Mark, I live in Ct,U.S.A. I've been smoking pretty much my whole life(my first smoker was a "lil chief"). I've had and made many smokers in my life and told my wife I'm ready to go back to an electric smoker. I'm drooling over the sm025. I'm looking forward to sharing and learning with all of you here.

welcome!!!!!! This is a VERY helpful community. When deciding which smoker to buy, figure the largest meal you will smoke and then double or triple the size needed, as your friends will always be asking for more. I started with a Masterbuilt and worked up to a Amereque 66 and now I'm at a FEC 100. I've filled it many times and have always had a great product with cookshack. Literally, the profits I made from casual side-sales to friends at work of Jerky, Ribs and Bacon have paid for my FEC 100.

You Can't go wrong with Cookshack. They stand behind thier products.
Welcome to the family! The SM025 was my first unit just about 2 years ago. You're going to love it. I have since bought a used SM150, and now am saving my pennies for a FEC100. You will find a wealth of knowledge in these forums and you will meet some very cool people willing to help and answer questions. Take pictures of your new unit and post them when it arrives. It's always fun to see the sparkling new units before we put them to use.
Hey Mark, from one noob to another (although it doesn't sound like you're really a newbie). My SM025 arrived yesterday. I set it up last night and am seasoning it now. It was really easy to set up. There have been no problems so far, just the wonderful smell of hickory. I did have to bend up the elements (both sides) to make contact with the wood box. You'll see that mentioned a lot in this forum. SM025 is perfect for the condo balcony. Small enough, fire code/condo rules compliant, yet sufficient cook space for small gatherings or just two. Pull the trigger!
