My wife just informed me that I would not be doing any cooking today. She is taking me to town ( a two hour drive one way ) to celebrate Veterans Day.

Was at work at 7am and just got home at 7pm but the guys DID buy me beers at work for VD.
I always say "thank you for your service" every time I meet another serviceman. Get in the habit and say the same thing.
It's hard for anyone who wasn't in the service to understand, but being remembered on Veterans Day is a good step.

Yep,a heartfelt thanks for their service has seemed to have been forgotten.This makes it even more important these days of lack of recognition by the general public.
