no temp control

I have a new smo25 that I have only used twice but no matter where I set the control it seems to go up to the highest temp. It ends up around 275 or so. Am I doing something wrong?-John

I just realized that this problem is operators error. I didn,t realize the unit goes up to the max temp for 20 mins. I kept turning mine on and off trying to reset it and it never had a chance to come off of hi temp- thanks- John

Don't pay it no never mind-I met few hawgs that could tell temps ,anyway.
