North Texas Brisket Sales

Looks like the days of $.99 Cent per pound Brisket are gone from Texas. With almost no rain this Spring Cattle are smaller and more expensive to feed, so I think we are seeing a spike in prices now in anticipation of future Beef prices.

Walmart in North Texas has Excel Choice Briskets for $1.78 per pound right now. I just bougt a 19 lb. beauty for the weekend. Restaurant Depot has Choice Packers for $1.89 by the case, or $2.09 each. Tom Thumb (Safeway) is at $1.99 per pound, but they were small, between 10 and 14 lbs. Kroger is the cheapest at $1.49 per pound for Select Packers.

buy them and ship them to me. Wally world is the best I can find at 2.21 a pound.
