Has anyone used Bradford Pear wood for smoking?

the fruit woods i have tried have all worked out great but here in florida where i live there aren't many pear trees

My mom has an old pear tree in her back yard that's always dropping branches. I've never thought of saving her branches to smoke with! And me, a picker-upper-recycler! I've even tried to get Jack to try avocado pits for smoking.
QJunkie, thanks for bringing this to mind. Any fruitwood will work well for smoking. Just be sure they're pretty dried out before you use them in the SM. Now, I'm thinking about the fig tree....hmmmm.
