Pellet Cost

I've been following the posts on pellet costs and checked into what it would be from F.E. delivered to Utah.
Thier quote for 400 pounds was $180.00 plus shipping of $116.62, total of $296.62 or $29.66 per #40. My local dealer sells at $34.00 plus tax, total 36.38 per #40.
Bottom line, do I want to save $6.72 per bag not knowing if I will ever use 400 pounds? The only clear advantage I see was when this site began, pellets were much cheaper, will the price continue upward? What do think.

I know the pellets your deal is selling isn't the same one FE sells so they're probably traeger (are they food grade or heat grade?)

If you try them and you're happy with them, just load up on them. They're sealed up and won't go bad.

Try http://www.BMFP.com their BBQ pellets work great. Cost is $6 per 20# plus shipping. Shipping from Oregon to Seattle was $1 per bag.

Thanks Konrad, I spoke with them but they were not interested in shipping direct to a consumer. I will stop by there this summer and load up the motor home with Alder pellets however. By the way, nice web site. Hope your BBQ school is working out.I teach Dutch oven classes down hear, we get together we would be a great team!

We bought 2,000 pounds that was $700 shipping included to Seatle. The will mix as many wood types as you want in that.
