I own a pg 1000 that was manufactured in late 2021. After about 6 or 7 cooks the hood started to loosen up and had more side to side movement when I open the hood. Seems like the weakness is in the way the hood is made in the front corners. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and what can I do to fix it? I did see the newer models have more rivets on the front under part of hood (flat piece that below the handle towards the front of hood when open). Would adding another rivet help? Appreciate any help. It is out of warranty now.

Thank you, I will contact the manufacture and see if there is a bracket or something added to the structure. I looked under the hood again to see if adding another rivet would make a difference. Doesn’t look like it would so I wonder if they added a bracket or something to make it more stable. I appreciate your response.
Adding an extra rivet to reinforce the hood could help reduce the looseness, especially if the newer models have made that adjustment. Additionally, check if there are any screws or other fasteners you can tighten around the hood hinge to stabilize it. Alternatively, reaching out to PG 1000 support or a local metalworker for advice on securing the hood further could also be beneficial.
