Phoenix area BBQ stores?

That was my first question upon arrival at my mom's place... What no smoker?

Wife and I just bought a home here in Gilbert (Phoenix suburb) and BBQ here seems to mean food produced on BIG Stainless Propane burners. Only store that has pellet burners that I have found is called BBQ island.

Thanks for the work on temps for the PG1000/500. I have already used it in my new PG500.

LOL-- I live in Gilbert as well. BBQ island is a pretty good store, actually it is probably the best in the valley.

Nah. Just rubs accessoies etc. basically a place to waste some time while my wife shops!

You might try Tom Thumb's. It up near the Ice Den and the horse pavillion. I have not been there, but heard it was pretty good. Penzy's, a spice shop, is fun place to shop for me. Great selection of top shelf spices. If you are into Italian at all, Defalcos is a nice small nitch spot. I buy some meat at Hobe's, Prime meats of all kinds. Cave Creek and Carefree probably has some spots to try if you want to make the drive.
