I'm not a pellet "seller" -- be a pellet "maker"! Well, not me personally, but I do know how it's done...

Two things make "Food Grade" pellets. Using only vegetable oil to lubricate the pellet machine and only the best quality saw dust to make the pellets. Food grade pellets are 100% flavor wood pellets (for smoke on any cooker) and blended pellets for pellet-fired cookers. When we make these pellets, the sawdust never hits the ground. Pellets don't either and go from manufacture to cooling bins straight into the bag.

Even heating fuel pellets come in different grades. Premium grade produces the least amount of ash. Hardwood pellets have more BTUs per # than softwood pellets (pine, fir, etc) and less ash too. Oil that is a petroleum based is used for lubrication. Heating fuel doesn't have to indicate what kind of wood or woods are in it. Ash & BTUs are the important thing. Oh and length of pellet. The "what's in there?" is the problem with using heating fuel in a cooker.
KP -- hope you never do have any -- ill effects, that is. You do good at contests too. I just wouldn't do it.

Yes, I sell pellets that's my job here. But, many sales people sell but don't have anything to do with manufacture of their products. I do grocery trade shows and that's a big thing if you manufacture or have a co-packer do it.

Didn't make a dime at Jack! Gave away over 9,000 samples.
