HI,

My dad has had a cookshack for years and turns out wonderful bbq on a regular basis. We just bought ours last week. We are having a little trouble with everything we have cooked. It seems our CS cooks a little different from my dads. So, this week my son is coming to visit and wants a smoked pork tenderloin. My dad has never cooked one and I am not sure of the time and temperature to use. It is a 4 pound loin. I sure don't want to overcook and end up with shoe leather.

Well, the first thing would be go up to the find button and do a search for" pork loin".

This should cover it completely.

This said,if he asked for pork tenderloin,it sounds as if you have a piece of pork loin.

They are very different animals, and hot/fast grilling is the usual, preferred technique.

Loin is very lean, and however you choose to cook it-I would pull it no higher than 145º internal.

Have fun.
