problem getting started

Hi everyone,
Got the AQ for Xmas and finally today had the time to put on the casters and install the electronics. Tried to turn it on. Faint light on the display but otherwise, blank. No heat, nothing. except for that faint light. Any thoughts?

Are you sure you got the plugs in the correct polarity??

There was a problem with CS getting a bad shipment of displays around that time. If everything is hooked up correct, you will need to give CS a call in the morning and they will help out with any problems.

Hi Lauraw,

Welcome to the CS forum.

My Amerique arrived the same time as yours; with the same issues. Cal gave you the correct answer. Chances are, the unit will produce heat but you need to set the LED correctly to do that. Give CS customer service a call this morning...they'll send you out a new board.

Rest assured that this issue is known and the board supplier has been contacted. The Amerique is my 5th Cookshack purchase and this is the 1st problem I've come across.
