Yes, and they even have the nerve to call it barbecue in Indiana!! (ok, maybe not anymore, but that's what it was when "I" was growing up there, young, foolish and uninformed...hahahah)

No kidding, knock yourselves out with a smoked chuck roast, the thickest you can find, bones/no bones makes no difference. Rub it and treat it like a pork butt. Take it to 195 in a hotter CS, then pull it/chop it, sauce it and you'll NEVER refer to anything coming out of a slow cooker using the 'B' word!

Other than the price/pound versus pork it's a winner.
Yep. I have it on good authority that some folks in Indiana still think it is BBQ when you shred and sauce crockpot roast. Those same folks have had real Q here at mi casa. Is just one of those strange and inexplicable phenomena. I see nothing wrong with shredding a nice 'Qued brisket myself, and putting on hotdog buns with KFC slaw on top.
