Over the years,we attempt to answer questions for folks about where to get something, what types bbq ,etc.

The first step we often must take is to ask "where are you?"

Realizing that different bbq regions may have more ready access to certain meats, woods, pellets, restaurants, comps, sauces, organizations, classes, cookers, etc.

Many folks list details about themselves in the public profile, and others give no info.

I feel that identifying a member's state,or at least region, would be a help to them and us.

Existing members, that might only read a post, might jump in- if they see it is a geographical area, they have particular knowledge of.

Maybe we could consider making this minimal bit of info a required field, when folks register?

Just a thought, to encourage more and better communication.

I agree that it would be great, but I don't think I can make it manadatory.

I think a LOT of people when they sign up don't create a profile at all.

If you don't know how, just go to your personal zone (from the drop down links for the main forum page) and in the upper right, click on "view/edit complete profile"

Tom, and I would like to know more about everyone.

Speaking of locations Tom, you guys above water in Satellite Beach, FL, USA?
The adjacent street, that intersects A1A,was flooded and got the school at the other end of the street.

The storm sat virtually on top of us for days.

Close to 30 inches of rain.

The FECs and Cookshack ,under their covers, sat through it and 60 mph winds, unscathed.

Sun finally out,so have shot up a 17 lb bottom round to put on later.
