I did some tinkering with hi-mountain original. My family loves jerky and we are always trying new things. I followed the hi-mntn. to a t for 4 pounds of muscle meat, then added a cup and a half of a-w root beer. Marinated for 32 hrs dried using q- doggs method. Had a nice sweet hint to jerky with a darker color! Next we are trying cracked garlic-pepper with mr.-mrs.t's bold and spicy bloody mary mix...will pass results in a few days!
