the butt been going for 13 hours,almost to 195,when it reachs 195 do I shut of the heat and let it set in smoker for awhile

its noon here in the east, rained all dureing the smoke, its been 15 hrs to 195, Im going to open the door at 12.30,

Gene, did 2 butts last weekend. Both were about 7# each. I came up w/the exact conclusion that you did. Nicests butts ive ever done. My buddys and my wife also agreed.
Besides, I didnt have to stay up, feed the fire all danged nite.

Jack misses messing around with the smoker, so now he spends more time with the rub or the sauce. Or you can work on the lawn, or help your wife with dishes, lol.
