Slow start

I have a SM025 that is 4 years old. Lately when turning on the smoker, it takes maybe 5 to 8 minutes for the heating element to start. Don't have a clue if the element is going out or do I have a problem with controller?
Anyone have a similar issue before?

It could be due to a failing heat element, faulty wiring...who knows. Give Bill or Tony a call at CS customer service and they'll dial in on the issue and recommend a fix.
