SM020?

I have one!

They are the same smoker as the 025 EXCEPT, they don't have the food probe and they are painted steel.

They were manufactured until middle of 2010,I think. I believe they retailed around $600.

Thanks Cal, sounds like just what I need. The food probe in the 025 only gives you an internal temp readout, it doesn't shut the smoker off when the meat hits a specified temp, right?

Does it go to 300* max temp?

Yes, to all the questions. It's the SM025, without the food probe and instead of being stainless steel on the outside, it's made of metal and painted black.

Same size shelves, same size element, even same led display.

I also smoke on a model 020 and love it! Temp goes to 300*. No meat probe but that's why God created Thermopens. If the price is right($200 or so)) I'd grab it in 2 seconds. Good luck!

Thanks for your responses. Sounds like the perfect upgrade to my 008 where my only complaint is rack size.

If it is in good shape and working,,,,Id go go $350.00 and maybe a little more in 5 or 6 seconds, I have one and use it in N.W. Ohio in the winter, no problem in single digit weather holding 250 degree temps or a little higher, regular smoking temp's are a breeze. I even use it outside as an oven at the higher temps. Like everyone said, an 025 wrapped in powder coated steel, interior is still Stainless Steel, just no thermometer. Got 12 lbs. of spare ribs in mine as we speak!! I wouldn't let it get away.

Yeah,
I started out with an 008 also, got me hooked but that shelf width drove me nuts. Now I have a SM150.
