I live in a 1 br apt in downtown Chicago without a balcony. If I were to use a cs electric smoker inside to smoke fish and pork loin ....what can I expect in terms of odor and smokiness?

I guess I am asking if it's a good idea to use this smoker for someone in my living situation or if I should wait until I have a balcony or backyard.

Thanks

Would you use a charcoal grill inside your apt? I wouldn't recommend it. They can put out a lot of smoke.
While working in Kansas City once, I would put a small grill in the fireplace, open the damper and cook steaks with snow on the ground. Worked fine as long as I opened the damper. I am not recommending this for a smoker, but it worked ok for the Habachie I was using to cook 2 steaks on

We close the windows in the house when I use my SM025. A little smoke in the house will linger for days. You don't want to use a CS indoors.
Yes, what they said....also, your clothes will stay smokey until washed, and i am sure your bedding, couch, etc. so you definitely won't want to use it inside your living area.
at ~ 32" tall, it looks like the SM025 is too tall to put on top of a stove under a kitchen hood. i wouldn't operate one inside unless there was a powered hood like in a commercial kitchen drawing off the fumes.

have you considered moving??
