Smoke coming out from door

It is normal.

Mine does occasionally. Not neccessary to be airtight. Make sure you poke drip holes in the foil to cover the bottom foil. I have overdone the foil for the woodbox and haven't noticed any problems.

Smokers ought to take in some air,and let out some air.

Look at any stickburner,and it is called airflow.

That is how we cook and flow smoke over the meat.

Most of us open the door to let out steam-or we would have a sealed pressure cooker.

On heavier smokes, my door leaks. Looks kinda neat to me. With the smoker making great results, who cares? I just look at it as a sign the smoker is really cranking out the smoke.

I even gets runs down the outside of the door by the hinges once in awhile. Cleans right up with glass cleaner on normal maintenance days.
