Has anyone tried to smoke clams, mussels or oysters? I am talking live ones, in the shell. I am thinking of giving it a shot with some oysters down here in Louisiana before it gets too hot and they go a little off. Maybe smoke them open and then top with some lemon butter or maybe a salsa or roasted pepper relish. Who knows? Ideas?

I have smoked quite a bit of shell fish.
Although none on my AQ yet. Didn't care for the results starting w/the raw shellfish.
Came out better after it was traditionally cooked, steamed oysters, clams, boiled crab.
No one around here ever had smoked crab before.
Be careful with this stuff there are no leftovers or doggy bags. Good luck and have fun. Fishslayer
