Smokette 009 - Aftermarket Cart (not the CS cart)

Braced 2x4's with plywood top and a couple coats of Polyurethane would get the job done.

Long ago I saw a stand on Old Dave's Po Farm.

He had made the stand For a BackWoods Chubby and was using a hydraulic lift table made by Central Hydraulics. The table on rollers had a total lift of 27 inches and a capacity of 500 pounds. The table measured 17-5/8" by 27-3/4" and was purchased from Harbor Freight for less that $100.

In all it struck me as a pretty nice solution.

Sam's Club, under $150, easy assemble, storage, very sturdy, large wheels, low center of gravity with cabinet on it.

That's my Elite sitting on top.

You might try the thrift stores-
I've seen several copier stands, on wheels for usually less than $30.00.

New SM 025 here. Can you tell us the name and model of this cart? I searched Sam's Club for it but could not find anything similar. Thanks for all of the wonderful advice by everyone on this forum.

I bought a plastic wheeled cart from Sears that has a four inch rim around it for spills. It is approx 2'x 4' and my 009 fits great. It also gives me a little bit of working room. Cart was about 100 bucks.

I ordered mine with drawers on one side and a door on the other. I think if I were to do it again. I would have ordered this model. Unfortunately, looks like the price has gone up...but it looks like the metal finish has been improved. Mine works and still looks great. Wood will weather.

I'm a new Cookshack convert and ready to drink the Kool Aid! I just finished my sixth smoke with my new 009 and everything has turned out great! It really helps to consult this forum before trying something new. Smoked a 9 lb pork butt overnight so I could serve pulled pork to guests today. It turned out great! Many compliments. Compared to my old charcoal smoker, this unit is so easy to use, I am using it a lot more often. I've done ribs, butts, jerky and beer can chicken so far and it has all turned out very good. Next weekend: my first brisket.
