Mon Ami...I think our French Canadian friend doesn't have an 008, and the online specs seem to indicate only outside dimensions. I've got a 55. Maybe someone with an 008 could measure? I too found it a bit confusing when CS refers to capacity as how many pounds of this and that you can smoke at a time...so confused was I that I decided to just buy bigger and see what arrived! Razzer True!
From the heading of the original post, the question was the internal size of the Smokette. In the body, Tha Freak stated it as smokette 008. From information posted quite often is that the smokette and the 008 are the same thing. The unit I took measurements for was on the Smokette. Maybe there is a difference between them. Or maybe after building 37 houses and working in the field of hardware retail for 23 years, I need to learn to read a tape better.
Sure didnt mean to offend anyone here.

When i pull out my truck outta the garage, I will get a basic dimension of the cu. in. measurement of my 008.

J.P. smokin congratulations on your measuring skills.
I sure didnt mean to offend you, nor anyone else here on this site.
Disregard what I posted earlier.

Mike
so more or less 3500 cubic inches or 2.04 cubic foot ??

because I saw a Centro electric smoker and wanted to compare...

the shack seems bigger...

How do you set temp on a Shak? is it numeric ? can someone post some pics??

Because the one on Cookshack are too small and no closeups are available (no offence)!!
Tha Freak
The dimensions I listed earlier relate to the usable volume of the 008 or 009 Cookshack smokers. From the top inside of the smoker to the lowest of the 3 shelves measures around 14x14x13 inches. About 2500 cubic inches or just under 1.5 cubic foot. The unit in your photo looks more the size of Cookshack's larger models 50.
